On Monday, the court learned communication data and data obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported missing child cases and remains unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

One recorded message, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I have a life here in Poland, I just want to know," the recording stated.

The tribunal was informed that via electronic messages, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with the police force who compiled the information, informed the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, the father answered a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will persist and I plan to establish my position."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' property in the county in that winter.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out through communication app to Mrs McCann to state the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be taken seriously in the months before the visit to that location, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court heard correspondence between the two individuals, in that autumn, planning attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We have to make a stand," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their residence, Mrs Spragg transmitted a text which expressed: "We find ourselves sitting near the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I had hoped to accomplish this with someone else I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
